New Delhi, June 25, 2026: Rockstar Games has officially confirmed key details for Grand Theft Auto VI, including its pricing, pre-order timeline, launch bonuses and edition-specific content, ending months of speculation around one of the gaming industry’s most anticipated releases.
According to Rockstar’s announcement, pre-orders for GTA 6 open at midnight local time on June 25, and the game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has also clarified that the title will launch as a single-player experience.
The Standard Edition of GTA 6 is priced at ₹5,999 in India and $79.99 in the U.S., while the Ultimate Edition will cost ₹7,499 in India and $99.99 in the U.S.. The higher pricing makes GTA 6 one of the few major AAA titles to debut above the now-common $70 price point.
Rockstar said players who pre-order the digital version of the game will be able to pre-load it from November 12, one week ahead of launch. The company also confirmed that there will be no early access window, meaning all players will begin playing on the official release date. Physical copies containing a download code will also be available from November 12 to support pre-loading.
As part of a limited-time launch offer, players who pre-order or purchase the game before November 20 will receive the Vintage Vice City Pack, a bonus bundle inspired by the franchise’s neon-soaked Vice City setting. Rockstar has also said digital pre-orders will include one free month of GTA+.
The Ultimate Edition will include additional premium content threaded through Jason and Lucia’s story, including exclusive vehicles, weapons, apparel and other in-game items. Rockstar has positioned the edition as an expanded version of the core experience with extra bonuses tied to the game’s world and progression.
The confirmation of GTA 6’s price and pre-order structure is likely to be closely watched across the gaming industry, especially as publishers evaluate whether premium AAA titles can sustain higher launch prices. Given the game’s enormous hype and Rockstar’s track record, analysts expect strong demand despite the price increase.
With pre-orders now opening and launch preparations underway, GTA 6 is shaping up to be one of the biggest entertainment releases of 2026, with fans finally getting a clear look at what Rockstar has planned ahead of its long-awaited return to Vice City
