Shree Cement Limited has significantly expanded its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, during the financial year 2025–26, focusing on healthcare, education, rural infrastructure, environmental sustainability and workplace safety. Through a series of community development programmes, the company has positively impacted more than 20,000 people across the region.
Healthcare remained a major focus of the company’s CSR efforts. During the year, Shree Cement organised 47 free health camps, providing medical consultations, diagnostic services and medicines to over 10,150 beneficiaries. The initiative aimed to improve access to primary healthcare services, particularly in rural communities where medical facilities are often limited.
The company also organised eye screening camps in four villages, benefiting around 1,650 residents. Following the screenings, nearly 1,150 people received free prescription spectacles, helping improve vision and quality of life. In addition, Shree Cement continued its Mamatha Project, which focuses on maternal healthcare by organising dedicated medical camps for pregnant women and new mothers, strengthening healthcare support for women and infants.
In the education sector, the company invested in upgrading infrastructure at government schools to create a more conducive learning environment. The improvements included the construction of protective sheds, installation of tile flooring, classroom renovations and the distribution of sports equipment. These initiatives benefited nearly 1,200 students and teachers, while the company also supported teacher salaries to strengthen educational delivery. Infrastructure improvements were further extended to Anganwadi centres, supporting early childhood education and care.
Beyond healthcare and education, Shree Cement implemented several rural development projects aimed at improving public infrastructure. These included road repairs, drainage construction, installation of borewells and upgrades to essential public utilities, benefiting more than 10,000 villagers and improving overall living conditions in surrounding communities.
As part of its environmental sustainability efforts, the company undertook a large-scale afforestation drive by planting 23,930 saplings around its manufacturing facility in Guntur. The plantation initiative reflects Shree Cement’s commitment to ecological conservation, environmental protection and the creation of greener industrial surroundings.
The company also strengthened its commitment to workplace safety by conducting regular safety training programmes and awareness campaigns for employees and stakeholders. These initiatives are designed to promote safe working practices and foster a culture of safety across its operations.
Shree Cement stated that its CSR programmes are aimed at creating long-term social impact by combining community development with environmental responsibility and employee welfare. Through sustained investments in healthcare, education, rural infrastructure and sustainability, the company continues to support inclusive growth in the regions where it operates.
