Dholpur, 13 Nov : Starting today, Dholpur becomes the hub of ideas, collaboration, and inspiration as the two-day “Nirmatee – Women Creating Enterprise of Tomorrow” Workshop begins. Organised by Manjari Foundation with support from development partners, the event brings together a diverse group of stakeholders — including rural women entrepreneurs, CSR leaders, government representatives, and social sector professionals — from across India.

The workshop, being held on 13–14 November 2025, focuses on advancing women-led enterprises and strengthening sustainable livelihood value chains in mustard, spice, and dairy sectors across rural Rajasthan. It is a part of Nirmati Project—a larger initiative aimed at empowering women to move from self-help groups to enterprise ownership and leadership roles.

Building Pathways for Women-led Rural Enterprises

Over the two days, participants will engage in a series of panel discussions, experience-sharing sessions, and knowledge dialogues designed to build strategies for inclusive and resilient rural economies.
Themes include:

  • Access to Finance and Credit for Women Entrepreneurs

  • Innovation in Value Chain Development

  • Market-driven Livelihoods and Enterprise Models

  • Policy Frameworks for Women’s Economic Empowerment

The workshop also seeks to identify challenges, lessons, and recommendations to make rural entrepreneurship more viable and scalable for women across India.

Distinguished Speakers and Experts

The keynote address is being delivered by Mr. Samik Sundar Das, Senior Rural Development Specialist at The World Bank, who brings over two decades of experience in rural enterprise development and inclusive growth.

The event features several thematic panels moderated by sector experts such as Mr. Rabindra Nath (PRADAN), Mr. Shouvik Mitra (World Bank Consultant), and Mr. Yatesh Yadav (Executive Director, Ibtada).
Panelists include representatives from Reliance Foundation, Rang De, Udyogini, Kisansay, and grassroots women entrepreneurs from Rajasthan — all sharing their on-ground experiences in transforming local livelihoods into sustainable businesses.

A Platform for Collaboration and Change

Speaking about the workshop, representatives from Manjari Foundation said that Nirmatee aims to serve as a convergence platform for practitioners, policymakers, and community institutions. “This is not just a dissemination event but a celebration of women’s leadership in rural enterprise. The learning from this platform will help shape future programmes and policy action for empowering women-led value chains in India,” the organisers noted.

The workshop will culminate with a set of recommendations and a roadmap for strengthening women’s entrepreneurship, which will be shared with key government departments, CSR organisations, and livelihood missions.
