TELUS Digital India, an AI-powered customer experience and business process solutions provider, has been recognised with the CSR Times Award 2026 – Bronze in the Education category for its flagship corporate social responsibility programme, TELUS Days of Giving (TDOG).
The initiative impacted more than 6,700 beneficiaries during 2025, with a strong focus on education, digital inclusion, community development and livelihood opportunities across Uttar Pradesh and other regions.
630 Employees Contribute 3,700 Volunteer Hours
As part of TDOG 2025, more than 630 TELUS Digital India employees contributed approximately 3,700 volunteer hours towards improving the learning environment at Bihari Lal Inter College.
The initiative included:
- Renovation of 6 school buildings
- Painting of 36 classrooms
- Refurbishment of 8 hallways and external walls
- Career mentorship sessions for 60 students
Overall, the project benefited around 3,070 people, helping create a safer and more engaging environment for students and teachers.
Expanding Access to Quality Education
Beyond infrastructure improvements, TELUS Digital India has supported education through Project Uday, implemented with SETU, and Project Shiksha, in partnership with Niswarth Seva Sankalp Trust.
The programmes provide children from underserved and special-needs communities with access to:
- Free education
- Books and learning materials
- Nutritious meals
- Life-skills training
According to the company, these initiatives have helped maintain student attendance above 85%, while dropout rates remained below 1%.
Digital Learning and STEM Training
The company is also focusing on preparing students for an increasingly technology-driven economy.
Through its NGO partner Challengers Group Trust, TELUS Digital India supported digital learning programmes that included more than 111 digital learning sessions and hands-on STEM workshops.
The initiatives aim to improve digital literacy and provide students with exposure to technology and practical learning opportunities from an early stage.
CSR Initiatives Extend Beyond Education
TELUS Digital India’s CSR programmes also focus on employment and economic empowerment.
Through Project Bulandi, implemented with Bright Future Foundation, and Project Samika, in partnership with SETU, the company is providing youth and marginalised women with technical, backend and corporate skills.
The programmes are designed to help participants access employment opportunities, strengthen their professional capabilities and improve financial independence.
Recognition for Long-Term Social Impact
Commenting on the CSR Times Award recognition, Iftikar Ahmed, Vice President of Operations, TELUS Digital India, said education remains central to the company’s CSR approach.
He highlighted the contribution of employees, volunteers and community partners in improving classrooms, supporting students and helping young people build careers in technology.
TELUS Digital India said its CSR programmes currently reach thousands of students, educators and young people across Uttar Pradesh and other regions through initiatives covering classroom infrastructure, digital literacy and workforce development.
The company plans to expand its partnerships with nonprofit organisations and local institutions to extend the reach of TELUS Days of Giving to more communities in the coming years.
