Jamnaga, Jan 5 : Nita Ambani, founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, paid heartfelt tributes to the senior employees of Reliance Industries Limited during the 25th-anniversary celebration of the iconic Jamnagar Refinery.
Speaking at the event attended by employees and their families, she acknowledged the invaluable contributions of senior team members in shaping Reliance’s success. She expressed her gratitude, saying, “In our culture, it is said that heaven lies at the feet of our elders, and their blessings are our greatest source of strength and inspiration. Today, I honor all our seniors—Dada-Dadi, Nana-Nani of our Reliance family—whose love, wisdom, and sacrifices have played a pivotal role in our journey.”
Nita Ambani also emphasized the enduring legacy of those who are no longer with the company. “Let us remember and honor those who are not with us today for their immense contributions to Reliance. I fondly recall my mentors—VV Bhat, KK Malhotra, AG Dawra—and many others who have left an indelible mark on the story of Reliance,” she added.
Earlier, on January 3, Nita Ambani reflected on the deep emotional bond between the Ambani family and Jamnagar, describing the city as the “soul of Reliance.” She highlighted the city’s significance in Reliance’s journey, connecting it to Kokilaben Ambani, Dhirubhai Ambani, Mukesh Ambani, and the next generation of the family.
The Jamnagar Refinery, Reliance’s first major industrial landmark, turned 25 on December 28, 2024. Launched in 1999, the refinery has become a symbol of industrial excellence and innovation. Moving forward, it is set to contribute to environmental sustainability through initiatives like Vantaar, ensuring it remains a cornerstone of Reliance’s legacy.
