Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) achieved its highest-ever monthly production in July 2026, manufacturing 2,48,845 vehicles, a 33% increase over the 1,87,073 units produced during the same month last year.
The milestone surpasses the company’s previous production record of 2,31,933 units, set in March 2026, reflecting rising demand and expanded manufacturing capacity.
Record Sales and Strong Demand
Maruti Suzuki also reported its highest-ever domestic passenger vehicle wholesales, dispatching 1,96,203 passenger vehicles in July, compared with 1,37,776 units in July 2025, registering a 43% year-on-year growth.
Including light commercial vehicles (LCVs), the company’s total domestic sales reached a record 2,00,123 units.
According to Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer – Marketing & Sales, strong retail demand has kept dealer inventory exceptionally low.
“Our network stock is just 16 days across the dealer network,” he said, adding that the company currently has around 1.6 lakh pending customer bookings.
Production Growth Across Key Models
Production increased across almost every vehicle segment during July.
- Alto & S-Presso: 13,964 units (up from 11,484 units)
- Compact Cars (Baleno, Swift, Celerio and others): 1,13,067 units (29% growth)
- Utility Vehicles (Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx and others): 1,02,787 units (46% growth)
- Eeco Van: 14,627 units (7% growth)
- Super Carry LCV: 4,400 units (up from 3,788 units)
The strong production reflects continued consumer demand across hatchback, compact and SUV segments.
Manufacturing Capacity Expanded
Maruti Suzuki recently commenced production at Plant D at its Hansalpur facility in Gujarat, increasing the company’s total annual manufacturing capacity across Haryana and Gujarat to 29 lakh units.
The expanded capacity is expected to support rising domestic demand and strengthen the company’s ability to reduce waiting periods for customers.
