New Delhi, 18 June: KisaanSay, the farmer-focused food brand built on the philosophy of “From the Farmers of India,” is set to host KisaanSay Samagam 2026, its annual flagship gathering dedicated to recognizing the contributions, achievements, and hard work of farmers across the country. Speaking about the initiative, KisaanSay Founder Nitin Puri said the event has been designed to celebrate the farmers who remain at the heart of the company’s journey and mission.
According to Puri, KisaanSay’s business model is built around creating value for farmers while ensuring consumers receive authentic, source-verified food products. Many of the products marketed through the platform are traditional and indigenous varieties that not only support farmer livelihoods but also contribute to biodiversity conservation and sustainable agriculture. “Farmers are our most important stakeholders. Everything else follows—from quality products for consumers to better livelihoods for farming communities. KisaanSay Samagam is our way of celebrating this partnership,” he said.
The two-day event will begin with a market exposure visit for participating farmers. During the first day, farmers will get an opportunity to visit retail stores and understand how their products are branded, marketed, distributed, and sold across modern retail outlets, supermarkets, and online platforms. The initiative aims to give farmers a firsthand view of the consumer journey and the value chain that connects their produce to urban markets.
The second day will feature the main conference at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi. The inaugural session will bring together distinguished leaders from agriculture, policy, investment, and food systems. Confirmed speakers include agricultural economist and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Ashok Gulati, Padma Shri recipient Dr. Ram Chet Chaudhary, known for reviving the famed Kala Namak rice of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Maninder Kaur Bedi, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and CMD of the National Seeds Corporation, former FSSAI CEO Pawan Agarwal, former TRIFED Managing Director Praveen Krishna, and Ashish Chaudhary, Chief Investment Officer at NABARD Ventures.
A dedicated session on women’s empowerment will highlight the growing role of women in farmer-owned enterprises. The panel, led by KisaanSay Co-founder Vaishali Puri, will feature women farmers, shareholders, and leaders from Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) across Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and other states. The discussion, moderated by noted journalist and anchor Anupama Bhonsle, will focus on the theme of “Women Empowerment Through Women-Led Enterprise.”
The event will also include an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding Farmer Producer Companies within the KisaanSay network. Currently, KisaanSay works with 25 FPCs spread across 10 states, with more than half being women-led organizations. Women farmers account for over 50 percent of the membership base within the network, reflecting the company’s emphasis on inclusive rural entrepreneurship.
Puri emphasized that the gathering is not merely a celebration but also a platform for collaboration, learning, and strengthening partnerships between farmers and markets. Through its co-branding and co-profit model, KisaanSay seeks to address two major challenges in India’s food ecosystem: ensuring consumers receive authentic food products directly linked to their place of origin, and creating sustainable livelihoods for farmers.
“Every product has a story and a geography behind it. We want consumers to connect with authentic food from its source while ensuring farmers receive a fair share of value creation. KisaanSay Samagam is about strengthening that connection and building a larger movement for farmer prosperity, sustainable agriculture, and healthier food systems,” Puri said.
As India continues to focus on farmer incomes, food authenticity, and rural entrepreneurship, KisaanSay Samagam 2026 aims to showcase how collaborative market-led models can create shared value for farmers, consumers, and the broader agricultural ecosystem.
