New Delhi : The Give Life Foundation and PACT H2OMovement hosted an impactful event focusing on the global challenges of water scarcity and health at the Audi showroom on Mathura Road. The event featured “Walk for Water, Walk for Life, and Swab for Life” initiatives, raising awareness about the need for clean water and a robust bone marrow registry. Diplomats from Greece, the Netherlands, and several African countries attended, emphasizing the event’s international significance.
Dr. Bart S. Fisher, Chairman of the Give Life Foundation and a two-time Nobel Prize nominee, was the keynote speaker. A longtime advocate for sustainable health and water access, Dr. Fisher emphasized the foundation’s mission to address both health crises and water scarcity, which disproportionately impact vulnerable communities. “The Give Life Foundation has partnered with the H2OMovement to focus on two fundamental needs—water and stem cells,” Dr. Fisher stated. He underscored the urgency of clean water and the need for a viable bone marrow registry in India, essential for treating conditions like leukemia and thalassemia that require bone marrow transplants.
Dr. Sanjanaa Jon, a noted social activist and philanthropist, also addressed the audience, highlighting the event’s profound environmental and humanitarian objectives. “This event goes beyond water and healthcare; it’s about life itself,” she said. “By supporting Walk for Water and Swab for Life, we advocate for human rights and environmental preservation.” She emphasized how fashion and entertainment can drive powerful change and promote sustainable development.
Dr. Fisher’s speech connected water scarcity to global health, calling for collaborative solutions. The presence of international diplomats and industry leaders, including Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri, underscored the event’s global relevance. Additionally, Raghav Chandra and Mayank Datta of Audi Delhi South expressed support, noting, “This event shows how health and water conservation innovations can create lasting impacts for communities worldwide.”
