Raipur, 18 June: Renowned social worker, author, and Director of Harshita Jan Seva Foundation, Ashok Dhiwar ‘Jalakshatri’, has been conferred with the National-Level Best NGO Award at the prestigious Impact India Summit 2026 held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The honour recognizes his outstanding contributions to social development, community empowerment, and humanitarian service.
The award was presented by Padma Shri awardee Sushil Doshi, India’s first Hindi cricket commentator, in the presence of Jyoti Kumari, Founder of Impact India Summit. A resident of Tulsi village in Tilda-Neora block of Raipur district, Dhiwar has built a reputation as a dedicated social reformer, painter, sculptor, and literary figure committed to public welfare.
Dhiwar’s journey into social service began after a life-altering road accident nearly six years ago left him with a severe leg injury. Viewing his survival as a second chance and a call to serve society, he dedicated himself to causes that uplift marginalized communities. Since then, he has been actively engaged in a wide range of initiatives including social welfare, environmental awareness, language and cultural preservation, child development, women’s empowerment, spiritual awareness, and youth self-employment.
Over the years, he has worked extensively to support disadvantaged and exploited individuals by helping them access justice, dignity, and social inclusion. His efforts have also contributed to resolving family disputes, promoting social harmony, and addressing social challenges at the grassroots level.
Apart from his social work, Dhiwar has made notable contributions to literature. He mentors aspiring writers and poets, encourages creative expression, and provides platforms for emerging literary talents through national-level collaborative publications. His commitment to nurturing new voices has earned him respect within literary circles across the country.
In recognition of his continued service to society, literature, and humanitarian causes, Dhiwar is also set to receive the National Award 2026 – Param Vibhushan Seva Ratna Samman. He remains actively involved in campaigns promoting de-addiction, vegetarianism, environmental stewardship, and spiritual consciousness.
The recognition at Impact India Summit 2026 underscores the growing impact of his work and highlights the role of grassroots leadership in driving meaningful social change.
