Indian solar module manufacturer Bluebird Solar has secured a 278 MW solar PV module supply order from Bridge & Roof Company (India) Ltd. for two utility-scale solar projects being developed by SJVN in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
The order marks another significant contract for the company as India continues to expand its renewable energy capacity through large-scale solar projects.
278 MW Supply Across Two States
Under the agreement, Bluebird Solar will supply 600 Wp M10R N-Type TOPCon dual-glass bifacial solar PV modules for:
- 133 MW solar project at Khavda, Gujarat
- 145 MW solar project at Nawa, Rajasthan
The combined capacity of both projects stands at 278 MW. While the company has not disclosed the delivery timeline, the modules will support SJVN’s ongoing renewable energy expansion.
Advanced Module Technology
The order includes the supply of N-Type TOPCon dual-glass bifacial modules, which are designed to deliver higher efficiency, improved energy generation and enhanced long-term performance compared to conventional solar technologies.
These modules are increasingly being adopted for utility-scale projects due to their higher energy yield and durability.
Company Expanding Manufacturing Capacity
Bluebird Solar currently operates a 2.5 GW automated solar PV module manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, supplying modules for utility-scale, commercial, industrial and residential solar projects across India.
As part of its long-term expansion strategy, the company plans to establish:
- 2.5 GW solar cell manufacturing capacity
- Wafer and ingot manufacturing facilities
- Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing
The expansion aims to strengthen domestic manufacturing, improve supply chain resilience and support India’s clean energy and self-reliance goals.
