Vijayawada, 10 July: Shree Cement Limited has significantly expanded its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives around its Guntur operations, implementing a range of community development programmes aimed at improving healthcare, education, rural infrastructure, environmental sustainability and workplace safety.
During FY 2025–26, the company organised 47 health camps, providing free medical consultations, diagnostic services and medicines to more than 10,150 beneficiaries. In addition, eye screening camps conducted across four villages reached 1,650 residents, while 1,150 people received free prescription spectacles. The company’s Mamatha Project also continued to strengthen maternal healthcare through specialised medical camps for expectant and new mothers.
In the education sector, Shree Cement upgraded infrastructure in government schools by constructing protective sheds, installing tile flooring, renovating classrooms and distributing sports equipment, benefiting nearly 1,200 students and teachers. The company also extended support for teacher salaries and enhanced infrastructure at Anganwadi centres.
As part of its commitment to rural development, Shree Cement undertook projects including road repairs, drainage construction, borewell installation and improvements to public utilities, positively impacting more than 10,000 villagersin the surrounding communities.
The company also reinforced its commitment to workplace safety by conducting regular training programmes and awareness campaigns to promote safe working practices among employees and stakeholders.
Demonstrating its focus on environmental sustainability, Shree Cement planted 23,930 saplings around its Guntur manufacturing unit during the financial year, contributing to local afforestation and ecological conservation efforts.
Through these initiatives, Shree Cement continues to strengthen its role in promoting sustainable and inclusive development while improving the quality of life in communities surrounding its operations.
