The SBI Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of the State Bank of India (SBI), has launched the SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2026, one of India’s largest corporate scholarship programmes. With a total outlay of ₹100 crore, the initiative aims to provide financial assistance to 25,707 meritorious students from economically disadvantaged families, helping them pursue quality education without financial constraints.
Launched in 2022 as part of SBI’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the scholarship programme has become a flagship education initiative focused on expanding equal access to learning and nurturing India’s future workforce.
Scholarships Across Every Stage of Education
The SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2026 covers students across multiple educational levels, including:
- Students of Classes 9 to 12
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students studying in NIRF Top 300 or NAAC A-rated institutions
- MBBS students
- Students enrolled in IITs and IIMs
- Students pursuing Master’s programmes abroad at universities ranked among the Top 200 in the QS World University Rankings
The programme is designed to support talented students throughout their academic journey, from school education to higher studies in India and overseas.
Financial Assistance up to ₹15 Lakh
Depending on the scholarship category, selected students will receive annual financial assistance ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹15 lakh.
The scholarship will continue for the entire duration of the selected course, subject to students meeting the prescribed renewal criteria each year.
The initiative aims to remove financial barriers that often prevent deserving students from accessing quality education and career opportunities.
Applications Open Till September 4
Applications for the SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2026 are open from July 22, 2026, to September 4, 2026.
Eligible students can apply through the official scholarship portal, where detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, scholarship categories, benefits, and application guidelines is available.
