Hyderabad : Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) held a groundbreaking ceremony on November 8, 2024, for the construction of Young India Skills University at Net Zero Valley in Meerkhanpet, Kandukur Mandal, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana. This university, envisioned through an MoU signed on October 26 in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy and MEIL Managing Director P.V. Krishna Reddy, will receive a funding of Rs. 200 crore from MEIL to create international-standard facilities.

Attendees included MEIL Director Ravi P. Reddy, Vice President G. Shiva Kumar, and other project team members. The university campus, designed for a zero-carbon footprint, will feature academic and administrative blocks, a library, auditorium, modern classrooms, labs, and other essential infrastructure to support a world-class learning environment.

Ravi P. Reddy expressed MEIL’s commitment to Telangana’s youth, highlighting that the first phase is slated for completion by Telangana Formation Day next year. Vice President G. Shiva Kumar noted the project’s sustainability focus, including open-air systems with natural ventilation to eliminate air conditioning.

MEIL’s dedication to sustainable infrastructure and educational advancement marks a significant step in supporting Telangana’s future. Established in 1989 and headquartered in Hyderabad, MEIL operates across various sectors, including water management, engineering, construction, green energy, and now storage solutions, consistently leading with innovation and efficiency.
