New Delhi, 19 July: Corporate India’s CSR expenditure reached ₹40,794 crore in FY2024-25, reflecting nearly 17% year-on-year growth, but the geographical distribution of these funds reveals an equally significant trend—CSR investments are becoming increasingly diversified across Indian states.
While Maharashtra continues to receive the largest share of CSR funding, driven by the concentration of corporate headquarters and industrial clusters, Gujarat has emerged as India’s fastest-growing CSR destination, recording an impressive 68% increase in CSR expenditure over the previous year.
According to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (National CSR Portal) and industry analyses, the top six CSR recipient states continue to account for a substantial share of India’s total CSR investments, particularly in education, healthcare, skill development, renewable energy, water conservation, and rural livelihoods.
