KPI Green Energy has energised an additional 130 MW of solar capacity under its 370 MW wind-solar hybrid Independent Power Producer (IPP) project in Bharuch, Gujarat.
With the latest addition, the company has now cumulatively energised 269.7 MW of capacity under the hybrid project, marking another step in its renewable energy expansion.
Project Under Long-Term PPA
The Bharuch project is being developed under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
The project combines wind and solar generation to provide a more consistent renewable power supply while supporting the state’s clean energy objectives.
KPI Green Energy Chairman and Managing Director Faruk G. Patel described the latest 130 MW energisation as an important milestone in the company’s efforts to expand its renewable energy portfolio.
Capacity Addition to Support Revenue Visibility
According to the company, the continued commissioning of capacity under long-term PPAs is expected to provide greater recurring revenue visibility and earnings stability.
The company said the additions are also aimed at supporting long-term value creation for stakeholders as it expands its renewable energy portfolio.
With 269.7 MW now energised out of the project’s planned 370 MW capacity, KPI Green Energy has completed a significant portion of the hybrid project.
