InCred Capital, the institutional, wealth management and asset management arm of InCred Group, has appointed Abhinav Khanna as Chief Executive Officer of Capital Markets and Abhimanyu Kalra as Managing Director and Co-Head of Equities. The leadership changes form part of the company’s strategy to expand its institutional equities business in India and strengthen its position in the country’s financial markets.
The appointments come as InCred Capital targets a several-fold increase in its share of India’s institutional equities market over the next five years. The company plans to support this expansion through investments in technology, trading infrastructure, research capabilities and international operations, alongside the development of its US business.
Khanna brings more than 25 years of experience spanning institutional equities, capital markets and investment management across India, the United Kingdom and the Middle East. Before joining InCred Capital, he served as Managing Director and Chief Business Officer, Global, at ValueQuest Investment Advisors, where he was responsible for global business strategy and growth initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Khanna spent more than a decade at Citigroup Global Markets, holding several senior positions, including Managing Director and Head of Equity for India. His experience across institutional markets and investment management is expected to support InCred Capital’s efforts to expand its capital markets franchise and deepen relationships with institutional clients.
Kalra brings more than 23 years of experience in equity markets, including 18 years at Nomura. During his tenure, he worked with domestic and global asset managers, gaining experience across institutional equities and investor relationships. His appointment as Managing Director and Co-Head of Equities is expected to support the company’s plans to strengthen its equity sales, trading and research operations.
InCred Capital Strengthens International Presence
The leadership appointments follow InCred Capital’s expansion into the United States, where the company opened an office in New York in June 2026. To lead its North American operations, the firm appointed Arunava Das as Chief Executive Officer, North America.
Das has more than two decades of experience across institutional equities, capital markets and wealth management. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of JM Financial Securities Inc. and JM Private Wealth in North America. He has also held senior leadership positions at JPMorgan Chase and Edelweiss Capital.
The establishment of its US presence forms part of InCred Capital’s broader international expansion strategy. By strengthening its leadership team in India and overseas, the company aims to develop its institutional business and expand engagement with global investors.
Technology and Trading Infrastructure to Support Growth
InCred Capital plans to strengthen its institutional equities operations across research, sales and trading, block execution, equity capital markets and corporate access. The company is also investing in technology and trading infrastructure to support these activities.
Its investment priorities include order management systems, research distribution, institutional sales and trading capabilities, block execution and algorithmic trading. The company also intends to expand its capabilities across cash equities, derivatives and asset services.
These investments are aimed at strengthening the platform’s ability to serve institutional investors with a wider range of services and improved execution capabilities. The planned expansion reflects the growing importance of technology, research and trading infrastructure in serving domestic and international investment institutions.
InCred Capital’s institutional client base includes mutual funds, insurance companies, pension funds, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs), global long-only investors and hedge funds. Its broader business also serves corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals across India and international markets.
The company operates across investment banking, institutional equities, wealth management and asset management, providing financial services to a range of corporate and institutional clients.
With the appointments of Khanna and Kalra, alongside its expansion in North America and planned investments in trading technology, InCred Capital is seeking to scale its institutional equities business over the coming five years. The strategy centres on strengthening its leadership, broadening its service capabilities and expanding its engagement with institutional investors in India and overseas.
