New Delhi, July 7: Reinforcing its dedication to community development and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), FUJIFILM India has extended its flagship CSR initiative for the third consecutive year in Jajru (Faridabad) and MG Road (Gurugram). The initiative is focused on improving educational infrastructure, promoting gender-sensitive sanitation, and fostering environmental sustainability, directly benefiting over 600 students in government schools.
Since 2023, FUJIFILM India has been actively supporting these schools, and the latest interventions further reflect the company’s broader purpose of “Giving Our World More Smiles” by creating long-term social impact. The initiative supports UN SDG 4: Quality Education, along with goals related to clean water, sanitation, and climate action.
School Infrastructure and Student Support
At the Government School in Jajru, FUJIFILM India undertook a comprehensive school improvement project. This included:
-
Paving the assembly area
-
Constructing a new basketball court
-
Plastering the boundary walls
-
Building a dedicated girls’ washroom
Additionally, to encourage student attendance and support learning, essential school supplies such as bags, shoes, and water bottles were distributed to all 600+ students—aiming to ease financial burdens on families and empower children to pursue education with dignity.
Green Initiatives and Employee Volunteering
Environmental stewardship continues to be a pillar of FUJIFILM India’s CSR strategy. The company not only nurtured the 100 trees planted in 2024 but also expanded green coverage by planting new fruit-bearing trees across the school campus. Over 30 FUJIFILM employees actively participated in the plantation drive, fostering a strong connection between corporate employees and the local school community.
