Lucknow, Nov 30 : DEVI Sansthan, a leading organization in foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN), convened its “Leadership Circle” on November 28–29 in Lucknow. The event brought together stakeholders from 19 states and union territories, including Jammu & Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and Puducherry, to accelerate progress toward NIPUN Bharat goals.
Chief Guest Avanish Kumar Awasthi, Advisor to CM Yogi Adityanath, emphasized improving learning outcomes and equipping youth with essential skills. He encouraged participants to document success stories and implement evidence-based approaches like DEVI Sansthan’s ALfA pedagogy (Accelerated Learning for All), proven to enhance literacy for underserved children, dropouts, and adults.
The summit featured prominent policymakers, including Ashish Kohli (Himachal Pradesh), Tassaduq Hussain Mir (J&K), and Ramesh Prasad Lakher (Madhya Pradesh), who shared insights on overcoming regional challenges such as rural disparities and infrastructure gaps. Discussions highlighted scalable FLN initiatives and the importance of paired learning and joyful teaching.
Dr. Sunita Gandhi, DEVI Sansthan’s Founder, reiterated the organization’s commitment to foundational education, stating, “Accelerating literacy and numeracy is key to global growth. This summit united leaders to ensure every child thrives in school and beyond.”
The Leadership Circle concluded with a collaborative roadmap to fast-track FLN progress nationwide, reinforcing DEVI Sansthan’s dedication to transformative education solutions.
