REC Limited, a Maharatna public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Power, has been honoured with the GEEF Global CSR Award 2026 for its contribution to sports development and inclusion.
The award was presented during the Global WaterTech Summit 2026 in New Delhi, recognising the efforts of REC Foundation, the company’s CSR arm, in using sports as a means to promote youth empowerment, talent development and social inclusion.
Through its CSR initiatives, REC Foundation has supported opportunities for young people and aspiring athletes across India, helping nurture sporting talent and encourage greater participation in sports.
The recognition highlights how corporate social responsibility can extend beyond traditional development programmes and contribute to community building, inclusion and youth development. By supporting sports and creating avenues for young athletes to develop their abilities, REC’s initiatives aim to help individuals pursue their potential while strengthening participation in the sporting ecosystem.
