534 Companies Registered Between FY23 and FY25
The government data shows that 534 companies were registered in Bhagalpur over the three financial years from 2022-23 to 2024-25.
The rise in registrations reflects the growing focus on entrepreneurship and formal business activity in the district. However, the government clarified that the number of startups among these 534 companies is not available separately because startups are not classified independently in the MCA-21 database.
Company Registration Process Now Fully Digital
The Central Government said the company registration process has been simplified and digitised as part of its Ease of Doing Business initiatives.
Entrepreneurs can complete company incorporation-related procedures online through platforms such as SPICe+ and AGILE-PRO-S, reducing the need for physical visits to government offices.

No Separate Registration Centre Proposed for Bhagalpur
The government clarified that there is currently no proposal to establish a separate company registration centre or DIN office in Bhagalpur.
Officials said that most company-related services are already available through digital platforms, allowing entrepreneurs to complete registration and other formalities remotely.
The combination of increasing company registrations and CSR investment highlights the growing role of the private sector in Bhagalpur’s economic and social development.
