The India Bioenergy & Tech Expo 2026 is set to begin on August 11 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, bringing together policymakers, investors, industry leaders, technology providers and researchers to explore new opportunities in India’s growing bioenergy sector.
The three-day event, scheduled from August 11 to 13, is expected to provide a major platform for showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s renewable energy potential and strengthening the state’s Green Energy Mission.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to attend the expo on August 12.
The event is being organised by the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE) in association with the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA).
Uttar Pradesh Targets Bioenergy Leadership
The expo will highlight Uttar Pradesh’s growing potential as a major bioenergy hub, with a focus on its large biomass resources, expanding ethanol production, compressed biogas capacity and developing bioenergy value chains.
The state’s policy environment and industrial ecosystem are expected to be among the key areas showcased to domestic and international investors.
According to Sanjay Ganju, Director General of the Indian Federation of Green Energy, Uttar Pradesh has the necessary combination of feedstock availability, progressive policies, industrial capabilities and government support to emerge as one of India’s leading bioenergy hubs.
The expo is expected to connect these resources with global technology providers and investors, creating opportunities for new projects and partnerships.
Focus on Biofuels and Emerging Green Technologies
The event will cover a wide range of technologies and applications across India’s clean energy transition.
