New Delhi, Nov 26 : The 6th Saquib Rizvi Memorial Cancer Awareness Marathon, organized by the Rizvi Group’s Help Yourself Foundation, is scheduled for Sunday, December 1, 2024, at MMRDA, G8 Ground, BKC, Mumbai. The event aims to raise awareness about cancer, environmental sustainability, and women’s safety while uniting thousands of participants, supporters, and changemakers.

This year’s marathon carries the theme Go Green, Plastic-Free,” promoting eco-friendly practices and aligning with global sustainability goals. Participants, ranging from professional athletes to first-timers, will join efforts to foster health, environmental consciousness, and social justice. Special awareness campaigns on women’s safety and empowerment will run parallel to the event.

A key highlight is the launch of the Rumi Care app, offering features like real-time race tracking, an emergency card, sustainability progress updates, and instant event information. Event organizer Adv. Rubina Akhtar Hasan Rizvi called the app a “game-changer” for improving safety and participant experiences.

The marathon will feature esteemed guests, including Arbaaz Khan and Swara Bhaskar as the event faces, Olympian Akshay Khot as Event Ambassador, and political dignitaries, Consul Generals, and cancer survivors. Live performances, awareness campaigns, and an awards ceremony will add vibrancy to the day.
