Abu Dhabi, Jan 5 : On World Braille Day, the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination delivered a global message of unity and peace, inspired by the principles of the Document on Human Fraternity. The initiative seeks to counter rising global challenges of division and hatred by fostering inclusivity, tolerance, and coexistence.

In collaboration with the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity and the Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation, the organisation made the Document on Human Fraternity accessible to the visually impaired by printing it in Braille in multiple languages, including Arabic, English, and Italian. These efforts underscore the importance of empowering People of Determination and promoting cultural and social communication globally.

A video message featuring readings from the Document on Human Fraternity in Braille highlighted the organisation’s vision of empowering People of Determination as ambassadors of peace and tolerance. The initiative reflects the organisation’s broader mission to amplify the voices of People of Determination on the global stage and strengthen their role in driving positive societal change.

The organisation also collaborated with the Emirates Deaf Association to create Arabic Sign Language videos of the document for the deaf community. Furthermore, its visually impaired employees translated the document into Braille, producing 100 copies in Arabic and English, which were gifted to the Al-Azhar Library in Egypt. An additional 100 Braille copies in Italian were presented to the Vatican Library in Rome to extend the message of fraternity and coexistence worldwide.

As part of its World Braille Day celebrations, the organisation engaged its members, representing various nationalities, to create a symbolic garden bearing the emblem of Human Fraternity at its headquarters in Al Mafraq, Abu Dhabi. The initiative stands as a testament to the UAE’s commitment to solidarity and unity among all peoples.

The Zayed Higher Organisation reaffirmed its belief that Braille serves as a bridge for communication and connection, enabling People of Determination to embrace universal values and contribute meaningfully to society.
