YES FOUNDATION

Mumbai : YES SECURITIES, a prominent financial services firm, has initiated the development of a pulses unit in Barwani district, Madhya Pradesh, through its partner YES FOUNDATION as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. This project is set to benefit 800 small and marginal tribal farmers from eight villages, focusing on rural development, sustainable agriculture, and the empowerment of women self-help groups (SHGs) to enhance livelihoods and promote long-term agricultural sustainability. The initiative aims to double the farmers’ annual baseline income through high-value crop cultivation.

In addition to the pulses unit, YES SECURITIES has expanded its Solar Irrigation Unit Plus to further support sustainable farming practices and irrigation solutions. The CSR program introduces farmers to high-value, climate-resilient crops, including creeper and non-creeper vegetables, as well as cereals and pulses.

The project targets increased farm productivity and sustainability through several interventions. These include raising awareness, training farmers in climate-resilient practices, and capacity building. High-value crops like creeper and non-creeper vegetables are introduced along with technical knowledge on Package of Practices. Further, the cultivation of cereals, minor millets, and pulses will enhance productivity, while irrigation infrastructure will be improved through well repair, deepening, and micro-irrigation techniques.
