Jaipur, 02 Dec : On the occasion of World AIDS Day, an impactful awareness program was held on Sunday at Toran Dwar, Jawahar Circle. The event aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and foster acceptance of people living with HIV (PLHIV).
The program began with a heart-touching live music performance by *Astitva Band*, which captivated the audience and created a positive atmosphere.
A key highlight of the event was the enthusiastic participation of NCC cadets, who marched in solidarity to promote unity. They carried poster cards with messages spreading awareness about HIV-related issues and advocating for a discrimination-free society. This was followed by an interactive quiz addressing myths and facts about HIV, effectively dispelling misconceptions and educating the audience on the realities of HIV.
Adding to the event’s impact, a powerful street play depicted the challenges faced by PLHIV and their resilience. The performance left a lasting impression, delivering a critical message of empathy, acceptance, and inclusion. Captain Gurinder Virk, founder of Ray of Hope, emphasized the need for societal change, urging everyone to replace discrimination with love and stand united in support of children affected by HIV.
The event brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds, including children from NGOs, to celebrate the resilience of PLHIV and underscore the importance of awareness, understanding, and collective efforts.
This World AIDS Day program at Jawahar Circle showcased the unwavering commitment of Ray of Hope and Positive Yuva Network toward fostering dignity, equality, and social change for all.
