Singapore, April 22: Ultima Markets has officially launched the Ultima Impact Foundation, a non-profit arm dedicated to advancing the company’s long-term commitment to sustainability and social good. Driven by the belief that businesses can be a force for meaningful change, the foundation aims to foster lasting impact for people, communities, and the planet.

To mark its debut, Ultima Impact recently completed a regional reforestation initiative focused on tree and mangrove planting across parts of Malaysia and Thailand. Collaborating with local communities and environmental organizations, the effort mobilized over 60 volunteers from across Southeast Asia. Though modest in scope, the initiative represents the foundation’s first step toward broader ecological restoration and climate resilience.

Jean Philippe, Director of Ultima Impact Foundation and Sustainability Board Advisor at Ultima Markets, shared:

“At Ultima Impact, sustainability isn’t just a concept—it’s a responsibility. Deforestation continues to endanger ecosystems and displace communities. Through restoration, we’re taking real steps to repair what’s been lost.”

The foundation’s launch comes at a critical moment for global environmental recovery. Since 1996, the world has lost over 5,200 square kilometres of mangroves—equivalent to 83 football fields per day. While the pace has slowed, the effects continue to jeopardize biodiversity and coastal protection. Meanwhile, although the world has gained forests equal in size to Peru over the last two decades, it has lost even more—surpassing four times the area of the UK.

Looking ahead, Ultima Impact will expand its initiatives into areas such as education, innovation, and community development. Its work will continue in collaboration with local partners, underpinned by strong governance and a shared vision for inclusive sustainability.

Jean Philippe added:

“We’re deeply thankful to the volunteers and partners who made this effort possible. Your dedication proves that collective action can drive real and lasting change.”
