Kharagpur, Dec 3 : UAL Bengal has carried out several developmental projects in the Tungadua area under the Sankrail Police Station in Jhargram district as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Local residents expressed their gratitude to the factory management and officials for their efforts.
The CSR initiatives included the construction of a Sheetala Temple in the Tiyakanti area, a boundary wall for Murunia Primary School, a waiting area for patients at Pathra PHC, a shed at the Jotia Sheetala Temple premises, and development work at Manikpara College. These projects were inaugurated in a ceremony attended by UAL Bengal’s Executive Director K.N.P. Sinha, Senior General Manager Sunil Kumar Pandey, Senior Manager (P&A) Sanjay Singh, and other distinguished guests.
Executive Director K.N.P. Sinha and General Manager Sunil Kumar Pandey highlighted that UAL Bengal’s CMD Arun Kumar Saraf has been actively involved in various CSR programs and development activities in the region since 2000, long before the CSR Act was implemented in 2013.
The relationship between UAL Bengal and the local community has grown into a familial bond over the years. Both parties have stood by each other through times of joy and challenges. Residents remarked that UAL Bengal’s initiatives have significantly transformed the area, improving both its condition and prospects.
