New Delhi : In a significant initiative to meet the rising demand for skilled professionals in India’s healthcare sector, Tech Mahindra Foundation, in partnership with GIZ India, has launched *Healthcare-Careers*, a specialized job portal for Allied Healthcare Professionals. Part of Project ASCENT, a joint venture between GIZ India, Tech Mahindra Limited, and Tech Mahindra Foundation, this platform aims to streamline hiring, connecting hospitals and healthcare providers with qualified job seekers across the country.
Addressing a Growing Demand in Healthcare
With over 7.5 million employed in healthcare, India’s demand for skilled Allied Healthcare Professionals is higher than ever. However, the industry faces challenges in matching talent with opportunity. *Healthcare-Careers* is designed to bridge this gap, providing job seekers with tailored job listings while enabling healthcare facilities to efficiently source skilled professionals across various specializations.
Expanding Career Opportunities
Tech Mahindra’s SMART Academy for Healthcare has been pivotal in training young healthcare professionals through its centers in Delhi, Mumbai, Mohali, Navi Mumbai, and Pune, with the capacity to train 7,000 individuals annually. This new portal expands career access for graduates and seeks to strengthen India’s healthcare workforce.
Enhanced Features for Job Seekers and Recruiters
The ‘Healthcare-Careers’ portal offers specialized job listings for positions like lab technologists, radiology assistants, and medical record technicians. For recruiters, it provides easy-to-use filters by specialization, experience, and location, ensuring the right match. Tech Mahindra Foundation CEO Chetan Kapoor emphasized that the platform will “address key challenges in the healthcare sector by connecting skilled professionals with the right job opportunities to enhance healthcare outcomes nationwide.”
Through this collaboration, Tech Mahindra Foundation and GIZ aim to create lasting change by addressing both the employment needs of individuals and the staffing requirements of India’s healthcare sector, ensuring better access to skilled talent across the country.
