Jamshedpur: The Tata Steel Foundation in Jamshedpur has received a Jury Commendation at the Bridgestone Mobility Social Impact Awards (MSIA) 2024. This initiative by Bridgestone India aims to promote safe and sustainable mobility for all, recognizing innovations that tackle social issues and advance development through non-profit organizations. The fourth edition of the awards attracted 100 entries and selected winners in the categories of ‘Mobility for Socially Vulnerable Groups‘ and ‘Increased Access to Resources.’

Hiroshi Yoshizane, Managing Director of Bridgestone India, stated, “Bridgestone’s mission to ‘serve society with the highest quality’ is deeply rooted in our contributions to the communities around us. As a global leader in sustainable mobility solutions, these awards exemplify our commitment to the greater good.”

The Tata Steel Foundation was commended for its exceptional project ‘Masti Ki Paathshala’ (MKP), which aims to combat the worst forms of child labor in Jamshedpur by fostering a citizen-led movement to identify, support, and connect affected children to educational opportunities. Sourav Roy, CEO of the Tata Steel Foundation, expressed gratitude to Bridgestone India for recognizing their efforts on behalf of vulnerable children from some of the country’s most marginalized communities. He added, “This recognition strengthens our commitment to transforming children’s lives through education.”
