New Delhi, Dec 12 : The Development Alternatives (DA) Group is set to host the 11th edition of its flagship event, TARAgram Yatra, under the theme “Investing in the Local and Green.” Scheduled from December 13-15, 2024, this three-day experiential journey brings together diverse stakeholders to engage with communities, address grassroots challenges, and explore solutions to pressing global issues.
The 2024 Yatra focuses on three critical themes: Climate Resilience & Ecosystem Restoration, Resource Efficiency & Circular Economy, and Rural & Inclusive Enterprises. Key initiatives include community-led watershed management, sustainable farming models, circular practices in construction and demolition waste, and empowering women and youth through rural entrepreneurship.
Signature events like Naari Manchan, where women entrepreneurs share experiences with participants, and Nadi Kinare Chaupal, a dialogue on CSR-driven community solutions, offer immersive insights into grassroots innovation. The event culminates with Saar Sangam, a high-level policy discussion featuring experts from UNEP, government officials, and corporate leaders to address impactful policy changes.
Supported by prominent partners such as the India Climate Collaborative, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Bank of America, and NABARD, TARAgram Yatra 2024 also brings together organizations like JK Cements, Coca-Cola Foundation, and the Mlinda Charitable Trust. Corporate leaders play a vital role, aligning sustainability with CSR to bridge policy and grassroots actions.
Shrashtant Patara, CEO of DA Group, highlighted the event’s significance: “TARAgram Yatra demonstrates scalable initiatives with economic, environmental, and social impacts. It’s a unique experiential platform connecting grassroots action to policy formulation.”
