Lucknow, Dec 9 : Preparations are underway for the upcoming NGO Mahakumbh, scheduled to take place on December 22 at a private hotel in Ghaziabad. Organized by NGO Guru, the event aims to empower non-governmental organizations (NGOs) by fostering self-reliance and financial sustainability.
To ensure the success of the event, a planning meeting was held on Sunday at Sahyog Pariwar’s premises in Devalok Colony, Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow. Representatives from various NGOs attended to strategize and collaborate for the second edition of this impactful initiative.
The inaugural session will be led by Kapil Dev Aggarwal, the state’s Minister of Skill Development. According to Raj Kishore Pasi, President of Sahyog Pariwar, this initiative stems from the vision of NGO Guru founder Chartered Accountant Rajesh Kumar Verma, who seeks to reduce NGOs’ reliance on external funding sources like donations, grants, and government assistance.
Tackling Challenges and Building Self-Reliance
NGOs often face financial challenges that delay their social welfare programs or force them to shut down operations. Acknowledging these issues, Rajesh Kumar Verma has worked to equip NGOs with tools and knowledge for self-reliance.
Through this initiative, Verma has been empowering NGO leaders with training on utilizing government schemes and launching social enterprises, enabling them to implement their plans effectively and sustainably.
Since 2022, NGO Guru has been running training programs to support NGO founders. Last year’s NGO Mahakumbh achieved a world record, demonstrating its success and impact. This year’s event aims to build on that momentum, inspiring and equipping NGOs to thrive independently while continuing their social missions.
The 2024 NGO Mahakumbh is set to be a milestone event, further advancing the self-reliance and impact of organizations dedicated to social welfare.
