MumbaI, Dec 4 : Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar announced that his daughter, Sara Tendulkar, has joined the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF) as its Director.
Taking to social media platform X, Tendulkar expressed his joy, highlighting Sara’s commitment to making a difference in sports, healthcare, and education.
“I’m overjoyed to share that my daughter Sara Tendulkar has joined the @STF_India as Director. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical and Public Health Nutrition from University College London. As she embarks on this journey to empower India through sports, healthcare, and education, it reminds us how global learning can come full circle,” Sachin wrote in his post.
Sara’s new role at the foundation underscores the legacy of the Tendulkar family in driving social impact.
During his illustrious career, Sachin Tendulkar set unmatched records, amassing 34,357 runs in 664 international appearances with an average of 48.52. Known as the highest run-scorer in international cricket, he boasts 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries, achievements unparalleled in the history of the game.
Sachin is celebrated for his remarkable contributions in both Tests and ODIs, holding records for the most runs in both formats. He was also the first cricketer to score a double century in ODIs and is the only player to feature in 200 Test matches.
A pivotal moment in Sachin’s career was being part of India’s victorious campaign at the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, fulfilling his long-standing dream after six World Cup appearances since 1992.
