New Delhi : Spiritual leader Sadhguru has been awarded the CIF Global Indian Award by the Canada India Foundation for his “exceptional contributions to creating a conscious planet” and his leadership in addressing environmental challenges. The award ceremony will honor individuals of Indian origin who have made a significant global impact.

Ritesh Malik, Chair of the Canada India Foundation, remarked, “Sadhguru exemplifies a deep understanding of today’s challenges and offers solutions grounded in the ancient Indian spiritual wisdom and practical common sense.” Malik added that Sadhguru’s focus on personal growth, soil conservation, climate action, and food quality aligns with Canada’s values of well-being, sustainability, and inclusivity.

Sadhguru expressed his gratitude upon receiving the award and announced that the CAD 50,000 prize would go toward Isha Foundation’s Cauvery Calling initiative, aimed at revitalizing the River Cauvery, which serves Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
