Bhubaneswar, Mar 20: The Bansidhar and Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF) presented the 12th Shambhavi Puraskar to the Centre for Integrated Rural and Tribal Development (CIRTD), an NGO based in Odisha, for its significant contributions to society. According to a statement, CIRTD has been working to improve the lives of farmers, women, children, and youth in Sundargarh district through various developmental programs.
Sibaji Panda, from Sonepur district, also received a jury commendation certificate for his efforts in supporting children with hearing impairments, helping them realize their full potential. The awards were presented in the presence of Union Minister of State for Skill Development & Enterprise, Jayant Singh Chowdhury, and renowned doctor Padma Shri Ashok Kumar Mohapatra.
The BIPF established the Shambhavi Puraskar in 2014 to recognize the efforts of emerging social leaders who are actively working to bring about positive change in society. The award includes a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh, along with a citation and trophy. The jury commendation certificate includes a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a citation.

The BIPF was founded in 2011 as the social development arm of Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited.
