Dimapur, June 25: Nagaland has secured corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitments worth more than ₹30 crore at the Nagaland Connect 2026 conclave held in New Delhi, marking a significant push to attract development-focused partnerships for the state.
The conclave, organised by the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) in collaboration with CSRBOX, brought together more than 40 companies to explore CSR partnerships and development initiatives in the state. During the event, 15 Letters of Interest and partnership commitments were handed over to the authority in the presence of senior state leaders.
Held under the theme “Forging Partnerships, Creating Impact,” the event focused on building stronger engagement between the corporate sector and the Nagaland government while creating a pipeline of development and investment-ready projects.
Nagaland’s leadership used the platform to position the state as a region of opportunity rather than simply a destination for assistance. The government highlighted Nagaland’s young population, strategic location under India’s Act East Policy, and emerging initiatives such as the proposed Nagaki Incubation City as part of its pitch to corporate India.
The state also stressed that CSR should be viewed as a tool for inclusive development and social equity, with an invitation to companies to partner in key sectors such as education, healthcare, livelihoods, sports, environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment, and youth development.
According to IDAN, the conclave focused on six major priority areas aligned with Nagaland’s development agenda. These included health, nutrition, WASH and sanitation; education, livelihoods and skilling; rural development; sports and youth development; environment, biodiversity and climate resilience; and gender equality, inclusion and digital access.
Officials said the state has put in place a single-window platform through IDAN to facilitate, support, and monitor CSR partnerships, making it easier for companies to engage with projects in Nagaland.
The commitments secured at the conclave are expected to support a range of community-focused initiatives and strengthen Nagaland’s efforts to attract more structured CSR investment into sectors where development needs remain high. The event also signals the state’s broader strategy of leveraging partnerships with the private sector to accelerate inclusive growth and regional development.
