Dholpur, Jan 13 : In a major step toward recognizing grassroots development, Raj Bhushan Choudhary, Minister of State for the Ministry of Jal Shakti, visited Pipret today to review and support initiatives led by the Manjari Foundation in collaboration with SBI Card. His visit showcased the transformative work being done to promote rural development, women’s empowerment, and environmental sustainability.
During his tour, Shri Choudhary explored various initiatives that have transformed local economies and fostered self-reliance among rural families. These included innovative approaches in water conservation, agricultural improvements, and the establishment of women-led micro-enterprises focused on processing food products like pickles, spices, and other value-added goods.
In an engaging interaction with women entrepreneurs, the minister praised their determination and entrepreneurial spirit. He acknowledged the collective efforts of women turning traditional food processing methods into thriving businesses, which have significantly improved their household incomes and community standing.
“The work being done here is truly inspiring,” Shri Choudhary remarked. “The entrepreneurial drive demonstrated by the women of Pipret is a testament to their resilience and commitment. Initiatives like these are the foundation of sustainable rural development and are perfectly aligned with our Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.”
The minister also emphasized the pivotal role of organizations like the Manjari Foundation in fostering innovation and growth. He lauded their dedication to enhancing women’s leadership roles in community enterprises and integrating sustainable water management practices to support long-term development.
Shri Choudhary reiterated the government’s commitment to collaborating with local stakeholders to improve rural livelihoods. “By combining grassroots innovation with government support, we can empower rural communities, foster entrepreneurship, and improve living standards,”
The minister expressed his appreciation for the remarkable advancements made in several vital areas, including the modernization of Anganwadis, the enhancement of school infrastructure, and the development of gated community entrances. He also acknowledged the establishment of girls’ hostels, which provide a safe and nurturing environment for young women to pursue education.
In addition, the minister praised the water conservation efforts, which have ensured a sustainable water supply for rural communities, and the introduction of open gyms, promoting health and fitness. He further commended the SBI Card CSR environmental initiatives, focusing on raising awareness about ecological concerns and promoting sustainability. Solar energy initiatives were also highlighted as crucial steps toward reducing the region’s carbon footprint and providing clean, renewable energy.
The visit concluded with a renewed pledge to expand infrastructure and provide resources to bolster grassroots development efforts further. The minister expressed hope that the successful model implemented in Pipret could inspire similar initiatives across the country.
