New Delhi, Dec 6 : Minda Corporation Limited has been awarded the prestigious President’s National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities 2024. Recognized in the category of Divyangjano Ke Liye Sarvashrestha Niyokta (Best Employer for Persons with Disabilities), the award underscores the company’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and empowering individuals with disabilities.

The award was presented by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This momentous recognition also highlights the transformative work of Spark Minda Foundation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Minda Corporation, whose flagship initiative, Saksham, has touched and improved the lives of over 21,000 individuals with disabilities across the country.

The Saksham initiative, launched under Spark Minda Foundation, aims to enable persons with disabilities (PwDs) to lead dignified and independent lives. By focusing on skills development, employment opportunities, and community engagement, *Saksham* has become a beacon of hope for thousands.

Through its innovative programs, the Foundation has addressed multiple challenges faced by PwDs, ranging from social stigma to lack of accessibility and job opportunities. By integrating technology and human-centric design, *Saksham* has not only provided economic stability to individuals but also fostered self-confidence and community integration.
