New Delhi, Dec 15 : The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has directed all NGOs and associations applying for fresh registration, renewal, or prior permission under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) to ensure timely responses to application-related queries. These queries, raised through the online FCRA portal, are also notified via email to the applicants.
In a public notice issued on Friday, the MHA reiterated that all FCRA applications are processed exclusively online. If deficiencies are identified in the submitted information or documents, relevant clarifications are posted on the portal. Applicants are required to log in and respond promptly through the portal to avoid rejection.
The ministry cautioned that delays or failure to address the queries could result in the denial of applications. NGOs were urged to stay vigilant and regularly monitor their emails and the FCRA portal for updates.
