New Delhi : Kalasha Naidu, who gained international acclaim as the youngest social worker through her impactful initiatives with the Kalasha Foundation, has received another prestigious accolade. She was awarded the Asia Icon 2024 award for her outstanding contributions to social work. The award ceremony took place over two days, on the 26th and 27th of this month, in Colombo, Sri Lanka, where Dr. Naidu was honored in the Social Services category.

The award was presented to her by Shri Maithripala Sirisena, the former President of Sri Lanka. The event was graced by special guests, including Colombo Governor Senthil Thandavan, Foreign Minister Taraka Balasurya, and Youth Affairs Minister Rohana Dishannayake. Dr. Naidu also made history by becoming the youngest recipient of the award in the Social Services category. The ceremony celebrated several other distinguished individuals from various fields across Asia.

Through the Kalasha Foundation, Dr. Kalasha Naidu actively participates in a variety of social service programs, offering support internationally in education, healthcare, and medical aid. She also provides scholarships to talented students facing financial barriers to education. Recognized as the youngest social worker at just five years old, Dr. Naidu continues to embody this spirit of service, and we anticipate even greater achievements from her in the realm of social impact in the future.
