Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) , September 25: In a heartwarming initiative to support underprivileged children, the International Youth Development Foundation (IYDF) partnered with Dynamic Tutorial to host a charity event at Composite Prathmik Vidyalaya in Shastri Nagar, Tikunia Park, Kanpur. This event aimed to provide educational supplies and engaging activities for 57 disadvantaged children, bringing joy and hope through fun educational games.
Uniting for Education and Compassion
Organized by Akhil Shukla with the help of a dedicated team of 20 volunteers, including Harsh Kumar, Krishna Mohan Yadav, Arjun Kapoor, and Anmol Awasthi, the event focused on delivering essential learning materials and enjoyable activities. The school’s principal, Vandana, warmly welcomed the volunteers and played a crucial role in ensuring the event’s success.
Holistic Support for Learning and Daily Life
To enhance the children’s educational experience and daily lives, volunteers distributed a variety of supplies, including pencil cases, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, notebooks, water bottles, lunch boxes, and snacks like biscuits, chips, chocolates, and cupcakes. They also provided sports equipment such as basketballs and badminton rackets, along with 24 whistles to encourage physical activities. Thoughtfully, shopping bags were given to help the children carry their new supplies home. Competitions were held to motivate the children, with medals and trophies awarded to top performers.
Learning Through Engaging Activities
The event ran from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., filled with a range of fun and educational games that promoted teamwork and creativity. Volunteers began by introducing themselves and explaining IYDF’s mission to the children. Throughout the afternoon, participants engaged in various activities, including a ball-passing game that tested agility, a “touch the body part” game for quick reactions, and a jumping game to enhance coordination. A highlight was a balance contest where children balanced bottles on badminton rackets, with medals and trophies awarded to the top three performers.
Celebrating Achievements
At the end of the event, Principal Vandana and representatives from Dynamic Tutorial presented medals and trophies to the winners, while every child received a gift to remember the day’s joy and accomplishments. The event brought smiles and laughter, leaving each child with a sense of achievement and happiness.
