Prayagraj, Jan 14 : IIFL Foundation, the CSR arm of IIFL Group, has partnered with the Maha Kumbh Mela authorities to deploy 15 boat ambulances, providing emergency medical assistance during the 45-day Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This initiative is the first of its kind, featuring floating healthcare units at such a large-scale event, which is expected to attract over 400 million visitors.

In collaboration with Bharat Scouts and Guides, the Foundation will deliver first-aid services aboard the boat ambulances, supported by a dedicated team of 50 members. Additionally, a health center has been set up, staffed with two doctors and essential medical equipment to enhance healthcare for the pilgrims.

Madhu Jain, Director of IIFL Foundation, shared her excitement about the initiative, stating, “We are proud to be part of this significant initiative for the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, which runs from January 13 to February 26, 2025. We thank the Uttar Pradesh Government, Mela Adhikari Shri Vijay Kiran Anand, IAS, and all officials involved for supporting this idea from its inception to its implementation.” Jain added, “The boat ambulance services will ensure rapid medical response and on-site treatment for pilgrims during their river journeys and at the Triveni Sangam. We are thrilled to contribute to this historic event.”
