CSR News, March 12 : In a transformative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Makers Hive Innovations Pvt. Ltd., in partnership with Global University Foundation and Applied Info Services India Private Limited (AIS), hosted the KalArm Bionic Hands Distribution Program on February 13, 2025 at the AIS office in Hyderabad. This impactful event marked a significant step in empowering upper limb amputees through cutting-edge prosthetic technology.

As part of AIS’s ongoing CSR efforts, the company sponsored 10 KalArm Bionic Hands for deserving recipients. This initiative reflects AIS’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and driving social upliftment through innovation.

The event featured prominent personalities such as Amala Akkineni, Indian actress, Bharatanatyam dancer, and activist, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Parupalli Kashyap, former Indian badminton player, who attended as the Guest of Honor. Both dignitaries encouraged the recipients, emphasizing the importance of initiatives that empower individuals to regain independence and improve their quality of life.

KalArm, India’s first fully functional bionic hand, is a breakthrough in prosthetic technology. Offering advanced functionality at just one-tenth the cost of conventional prosthetics, KalArm ensures greater accessibility for individuals in need.

In addition to providing life-changing technology, the initiative also emphasizes skill development and employment opportunities for amputees, ensuring long-term self-reliance. The program included live demonstrations showcasing KalArm’s innovative features, along with inspiring stories from beneficiaries who have successfully integrated the bionic hand into their daily lives.

Grateful recipients expressed their appreciation for the life-changing impact of KalArm, sharing how the device has restored their independence and improved their ability to manage everyday tasks.
