Mumbai, Nov 21 : Dr. Walter L. Christman, Chairman of the Global Challenges Forum (GCF) Foundation, introduced his groundbreaking book, Building Global Resilience: A Call to Action,* on November 16, 2024. The launch aligned with the United Nations’ International Day for Tolerance, spotlighting the urgent need for global youth leadership in creating a resilient and sustainable future.
The centerpiece of this vision is the 1M2030 Project, aimed at empowering one million youth leaders worldwide to drive resilience and collaboration. India, with its heritage of youth empowerment and innovation, serves as an ideal partner for this transformative initiative. Following the establishment of GCF India as a Charitable Trust in Delhi, Mumbai is set to play a pivotal role in advancing this global movement, supported by influential leaders from business, academia, and civil society.
The book was launched by Chief Guest Nayan Patel, Hon’ble Counsel General of Tanzania, alongside Guest of Honour Dr. Sundeep Waslekar, President of the Strategic Foresight Group. The event also featured notable contributions from Advocate Ameet Mehta, Managing Partner of Solicis Lex Advisory, who highlighted Indian government initiatives, and Adv. Sumit Chander, President of the GCF India Chapter, who shared corporate perspectives.
Global insights were presented by Dr. Beatrice Bressan, CEO of GCF, emphasizing the importance of social bonding, impact finance, and global citizenship skills. Additionally, Professor William Eimicke, from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, provided an academic perspective on global resilience.
