Mumbai, Nov 30 : Dr. Dinesh Shahra, philanthropist and founder of the Dinesh Shahra Foundation (DSF), visited the Gau Shakti cow camps in Poochakad Periya and Bajakudlu Perla villages, Kerala, to champion sustainable agriculture and preserve India’s indigenous cattle breeds.
The Gau Shakti initiative, a collaboration between DSF and Ramchandrapura Mattha under Shankaracharya Raghveshwar Bharati Ji’s guidance, underscores the essential role of cows, cattle, and bulls in maintaining ecological balance and fostering sustainability.
Accompanied by Meera Rajda, DSF Head, and Dr. Krishnamurthy, Project Head from Ramchandrapura Mattha, Dr. Shahra praised the initiative’s efforts. He highlighted how indigenous cattle contribute through organic manure, biogas, and promoting a spiritual environment. He also applauded the innovative Musical Gaushala by Vishnu Sharma, where cows are nurtured with classical music, blending tradition and care.
During his visit, Dr. Shahra participated in Gau Puja, tree plantation drives, and demonstrations of eco-friendly products like diyas made from cow dung, showcasing sustainable practices that mitigate environmental impact.
Reaffirming his commitment to the initiative, Dr. Shahra expressed gratitude to Shankaracharya Raghveshwar Bharati Ji for his visionary leadership and vowed to continue integrating traditional wisdom with modern sustainability for a harmonious future.
