**Delhi Half Marathon 2024 Generates 10 Million Meals for Children and Animals through #RunForZeroHunger**

New Delhi : The third edition of the Delhi Half Marathon saw over 36,000 participants supporting the ‘RunForZeroHunger’ initiative. Vedanta, through its social arm, The Anil Agarwal Foundation (AAF), pledged to provide one meal for every kilometre run, raising 10 million meals this year—double the number from last year. In previous editions, 7 million meals were provided to children through Nand Ghar, AAF’s flagship Women & Child Development project. AAF has also distributed 7.2 million multi-millet bars across Anganwadis, resulting in significant reductions in cases of malnourishment among children.

This year, AAF expanded its commitment beyond children to include animals under its ‘One Health’ approach, which emphasizes the interconnected well-being of humans, animals, and the environment. The ‘Meals for All’ initiative will benefit animals through AAF’s Animal Care Organization (TACO), while continuing to support nearly 6,500 Nand Ghars across 14 states in India. The marathon was flagged off by Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Non-Executive Director of Vedanta, alongside key dignitaries. Hebbar, who also participated in the 10K run, expressed pride in contributing to the fight against malnutrition.

Prominent figures, including Valarie Allman, the 2024 Paris Olympics Discus Throw Gold Medallist and DHM 2024 International Event Ambassador, as well as celebrities like Milind Soman and RJ Naved, lent their support to the cause.
