Amaravati, Feb 4 : The Sood Charity Foundation, committed to health and social welfare, has donated four ambulances to the Andhra Pradesh government to bolster public healthcare services. Actor and foundation founder Sonu Sood met with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat on Monday to officially hand over the vehicles.
Chief Minister Naidu expressed appreciation for Sood’s contribution, highlighting how the ambulances will enhance patient transport and deliver essential medical services to remote regions. He reiterated his government’s focus on improving healthcare infrastructure to ensure emergency and advanced medical care reaches all corners of the state. The Chief Minister thanked the *Sood Charity Foundation* for supporting this initiative.
Sonu Sood shared his hope that the ambulances will offer vital assistance to people in crisis situations.
In response, the opposition YSR Party praised the donation as a positive step but also raised concerns about the current administration’s management of previously acquired ambulances under the 108 and 104 emergency services. They called on the government to provide transparency on the status and usage of these vehicles, questioning why some healthcare resources might remain underutilized.
