New Delhi, Feb 7 : Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has announced the launch of the Rishabh Pant Foundation, pledging to donate 10% of his commercial income to support those in need. Taking to social media, Pant shared the news along with a video explaining his vision behind the initiative.

“Everything I am and everything I have is because of the beautiful sport of cricket. The life lessons it has taught me have shaped my journey. I feel incredibly fortunate, especially after my accident a couple of years ago. Your love, blessings, and support mean the world to me. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s to never give up and to always smile with hope,” Pant expressed in the video.

The 27-year-old cricketer also mentioned that further details regarding the foundation’s work would be revealed in the coming months.

Pant’s Role in India’s ODI Series

Currently, Pant is part of India’s ODI squad for the ongoing series against England. Although he was expected to take on wicketkeeping duties in the first match, the team opted for KL Rahul following Virat Kohli’s absence due to a knee issue, while Yashasvi Jaiswal made his ODI debut.

Addressing the team’s wicketkeeping choice, skipper Rohit Sharma said, “KL has been our preferred wicketkeeper in ODIs for some time now, and he has performed well. Rishabh is also an option, and both players have the capability to win games single-handedly. It’s a good dilemma to have.”

With Pant’s foundation set to make a difference, fans are eager to see how his philanthropic efforts unfold alongside his on-field performances.
