Mumbai, Feb 21 : Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS), committed to advancing football and empowering women in the sport, is set to conduct the Women’s Football Referees Workshop in partnership with the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The initiative, beginning on February 21 in Srinagar, aims to train and inspire over 170 women match officials across the country, fostering a more inclusive refereeing landscape.

The workshops will take place in Srinagar (February 21-22), Kolkata (March 1-2), Shillong (March 8-9), Chennai (March 15-16), and Mumbai (March 19-20).

Senior Indian women’s football team player Ngangom Bala Devi expressed her appreciation for the initiative, stating, “Refereeing is a challenging profession, and I have immense respect for match officials who ensure fair play in Indian football. This training program by Reliance Foundation and AIFF will enable referees to officiate more frequently at national and international levels. I’m pleased to see such initiatives consistently contributing to the growth of Indian football.”
