New Delhi, Jan 27 : To mark the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya, a deeply significant day in Hindu tradition, Udaipur-based NGO Narayan Seva Sansthan has announced a large-scale community feast for 1 lakh people and the distribution of blankets to 25,000 pilgrims and saints during the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. This year, Mauni Amavasya falls on Wednesday, January 29, coinciding with the third Amrit Snan of the Maha Kumbh.

Prashant Agarwal, President of Narayan Seva Sansthan, shared that the organization has established an expansive 80,000-square-foot temporary pandal in Prayagraj to uphold Indian cultural values and support Hindu traditions. The pandal will host a variety of charitable activities, including free food and clothing distribution, shelter services, and specialized programs for differently-abled individuals.

The Sansthan has committed to serving free meals and distributing blankets while providing holistic support to empower differently-abled individuals, helping them integrate into mainstream society. Additionally, workshops focused on prosthetic limb creation and physiotherapy centers are being conducted to assist those who have lost limbs due to accidents or illnesses. The Maha Kumbh is seen by the Sansthan as an ideal platform for promoting empowerment and inclusivity.

On Mauni Amavasya, Narayan Seva Sansthan will commemorate the holy day by serving meals to 1 lakh pilgrims and distributing blankets to 25,000 individuals, including differently-abled persons, orphans, and other Kumbh attendees. Members of the Sansthan and differently-abled individuals will also partake in the spiritual and cultural festivities, including the sacred *Amrit Snan*.

Agarwal highlighted the spiritual significance of Mauni Amavasya, noting that taking a holy dip in the Ganges and engaging in acts of charity on this day are believed to cleanse sins and offer profound spiritual benefits. He encouraged the public to contribute to the Sansthan’s *Anndan* (food donation) and *Vastra-Daan* (clothing donation) initiatives, fostering health, prosperity, and spiritual growth.

For over 40 years, Narayan Seva Sansthan has been committed to serving differently-abled individuals and the underprivileged across India and internationally. Their initiatives include corrective surgeries, mass marriages, self-reliance programs, and rehabilitation services. To date, the organization has empowered over 8 lakh differently-abled individuals, enabling them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
