New Delhi, March 4 : The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) has joined hands with The Art of Living Foundation (TAOLF) to introduce a well-being programme aimed at enhancing mental resilience, stress management, and personal growth among students. The initiative seeks to provide students with practical tools to navigate academic and personal challenges with greater ease.

As part of this collaboration, TAOL will conduct specialised sessions at IIT Kanpur, incorporating meditation, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices to improve focus, emotional stability, and overall mental well-being. The programme will feature interactive sessions, group activities, and guided meditation led by experienced facilitators. The first phase is set to begin in the last week of March for interested students, with plans for sustained engagement to ensure long-term benefits.

The agreement was signed between Prof. Pratik Sen, Dean of Students Affairs, IIT Kanpur, and Rajesh Jagasia, Director, The Art of Living Foundation, in the presence of senior officials from both institutions. Speaking on the partnership, Professor Pratik Sen emphasized IIT Kanpur’s commitment to holistic student development, stating, “Academic excellence must be complemented by mental and emotional well-being. Through this collaboration, we aim to equip students with effective strategies to manage stress and enhance their overall quality of life.”
